Processes:

• Dip Molding- a process  in which a heated metal mold is dipped into a liquid plastisol. The plastisol is subsequently cured and removed from the mold.

• Liquid Plastisol Coating – Uses the same material as above, but a metal part is dipped into the plastisol and the plastisol is cured and forms a protective covering for the part.
  Did you know? Plastisol is often used in military applications to reduce corrosion, vibration, noise transfer and electrical conductivity while providing edge protection.   Plastisol comes in a variety of hardnesses and textures and an unlimited number of colors.  

Powder Coating- a powdered coating material is applied to metal and melted so that it flows out to a uniform finish. Through different processes the powder can be applied in a spray or a dip and to various thickness range.                                                                                                                                                                Did you know? In electrostatic powder coating, the powder is charged by an electrode at the tip of the spray gun. The powder is then sprayed onto a grounded metal part. The powder sticks to the metal and then conveys through an oven where it cures or flows out to a smooth finish.  In fluidized bed coating, powder in a tank is "fluidized" by pumping air through it. A metal part is heated and dipped into that tank. Then the part conveys through another oven and melts out to a smooth finish.

• Washing- 1) a five stage washer (rack or tumble capability) and 2) a steam/iron phosphate washer.
• Eyeletting of nylon straps- nylon strap is cut and sealed by a specialized process and eyeletted.
